Spend time on tasks that spark joy with help from earnr

Did you know that the UK side hustle economy is worth £346 billion and that female-run small businesses grew 18% in the last five years? More women than ever before are following their passions and channelling their energy into doing the things they love.

If you’ve recently launched your own business or started to invest time and energy into a side hustle, you’ll know that the art of the juggle is very real.  From finding, packing and shipping products, looking after customers and managing social media accounts – a founder has to wear many hats!

One thing you’ll want to keep on top of is bookkeeping and your tax return.  We’ve all seen the cliche receipts in a shoe box and a frazzled business owner with their head in their hands wondering where it all went wrong, kicking themselves for not keeping their numbers in order.

Step in earnr.

The earnr app was created to help small business owners and side hustlers spend more time with tasks that spark joy and earn money instead of spending wasted time on admin.

Understanding how much tax to declare and submitting a tax return can be stressful and complicated – but it doesn’t need to be. earnr supports customers to keep track of their incomings and outgoings, organise their transactions and automate their tax return all via an easy-to-use app.

We spoke to Financielle community member Cat about how she started a side hustle in lockdown and how she’s now transformed it into a fully-fledged business:

“I am a lover of coffee and people. It’s that simple. In the leafy village where I live, lockdown weighed heavily on the local community last April and I wanted a way to bring everyone together. I was on furlough from my job in the travel industry with lots of time to spare so my partner and I came up with the idea to set up Nomad Coffee – a mobile coffee pod that would take prime position in the centre of our village.

With no end in sight to lockdown, Nomad became a hub for people in the village to meet, chat and enjoy a coffee whilst enjoying the canal walks and fresh air. Many people said it was all they had to look forward to on the weekends.

Fast forward 12 months and we now have two mobile coffee pods in the local area along with a mobile coffee and catering pod available for people to rent out for events.

One thing I wish I didn’t have to spend so much time on is my bookkeeping and tax return. It’s such a dull administration task but has to be done. I wish somebody like earnr existed when I launched my business last year!”

A side-hustle or small business can massively help build financial stability and bring you closer to your money goals, however we want them to be a blessing not a curse and so the more administration tasks that can be made simple, the better.

Let earnr take away the dull and administrative tasks in relation to bookkeeping and your tax return so you can focus on growing the business you love.

The earnr app is free to use. It is also free to submit a tax return with earnr if your income is below £3k. Any income over and up to £85k, earnr charges a flat free of £99 to submit your tax return.

earnr is offering the first 200 Financielle readers a completely free tax return (even if their income is over 3k) if they sign up and submit before 31 November. All you need to do is download earnr here and once you have the app quote FINANCIELLE. Terms and conditions apply and can be found here.
